Top 12 Beaches – one for each month of the year
There is a beach for everyone: from the stunning sands of Latin America, to the beautiful British coast, to the best shore of the Mediterranean, then to a paradise of an island in the Pacific.
1. JANUARY – San Juan del Sur Bay, Nicaragua
Nicaragua may be a little unknown as a holiday destination, but at this time of year it swims in the sun and may also be on its beaches. San Juan del Sur bay beach is characterized by the appearance of a dazzling horseshoe in soft, light beige sand overlooking a giant statue of Jesus floating north of the bay. The waters around here are calm and rarely large enough for surfing, making this the perfect beach for young families. For my browser, there is Playa Maderas a little further.
There are lots of fine restaurants with which you can enjoy a wonderful sunset. After sunset, you can enjoy a busy nightlife to enjoy it.
2. FEBRUARY – Isla Espiritu Santo, Sea of Cortez, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Ocean scientist Jacques Cousteau described the Sea of Cortez in Mexico as “the world’s largest water basin” because of its unique and rich ecosystem. To wake up and personality with nature, he settled in La Paz. All islands are protected by UNESCO as World Heritage Reserves.
Espiritu Santo is a beautiful, uninhabited, jewel in the crown: the sea is very turquoise like swimming in a bottle of Curacao. Once you reach the beach, you’ll find white sand for wedding cakes, pink volcanic rocks, clouds of yellow butterflies and 300-year-old exotic Bogum trees.
In Los Islotes, you can snorkel friendly sea lions. There are many migratory species such as humpback whales, manta rays and skin turtles.
3. MARCH – Kovalam Beach, Kerala, India
Kovalam, known as the Paradise of the South, is considered the best beach in India. Featuring a coconut forests and a crescent moon full of characters, Vizhinjam Mosque is located at the northern end and boats painted in bright colors in the middle of the Ayurvedic massage centers where you can enjoy an invigorating herbal body massage or body toning. 4. APRIL – White Island, Camiguin, The Philippines
The small pear-shaped Camiguin known as Island Born of Fire is home to the stunning White Island beach and white Tippex sands with views of the volcanoes Mt Hibok-Hibok and Mt Vulcan. Nearby, the Bohol Turquoise Sea hides an unusual treasure – a sunken cemetery 20 feet underwater after a volcanic eruption in 1871. The island houses ancient ancestral homes and historical churches.
5. MAY – Praia de Lopes Mendes, Ilha Grande, Brazil
Only three hours south of Rio de Janeiro, Ilha Grande is a small island home to the beautiful jawed town of Praia de Lopez Mendes. Getting to the beach is very important, but worth the effort – take a stroll through the dense Atlantic Forest with hummingbirds, butterflies, tropical flowers and waterfalls with pygmy monkeys and Jerusalem blasting everywhere. With white and soft sand like flour, it can’t be resisted on Lopes Mendes Beach. The island was discovered in 1502, but preserving it today is the only word that exists in the main village on the island.
6. JUNE – Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Islands, Queensland, Australia
Whether you arrive by seaplane or boat, Whitehaven Beach has white sand, rainforests, and crystal water. It’s on a small wilderness island, and it’s part of the Great Barrier Reef that’s 1,250 miles long. The sand is 99.89% pure quartz and you can swim with 1500 species of multicolored fish and watch humpback whales on their annual trip. It awaits the discovery of another 73 islands, some of which are deserted and ideal for a cozy, secluded day in the sun.
You can camp on some islands but always remember the advice of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park: Take pictures and memories with you, and just leave bubbles behind. Relax on the mainland at Airlie Beach Organic B&B, with massages, yoga, meditation and organic meals. They sell original art and crafts made by local Ngaro and Gia people.
7. JULY – Oxwich Bay, Gower Peninsula, Wales, UK
In Wales you have to look for our most beautiful beaches in Britain. Smooth, sandy Oakwich Bay, surrounded by woodland and overlooking Penrice Castle, can come directly from the story of Enid Blyton. Thanks to its arcade beauty, Oxwich in the summer is an ideal place for a safe swim, a walk in the sand, or across a nature reserve with 600 species of flowering plants.
Gower, located west of Swansea, was the first area of great natural beauty in Britain, and this year marks the fiftieth anniversary. The pedestrian path from Oxwich leads to St Illtyd Church, chased by a creature half a man and a half horse and along the road, the coastline extends castles, ancient ruins and many unspoilt bays.
Near Swansea is a city that has reinvented itself in the past five years with a thriving local food scene showcasing the region’s rich food heritage: fun bread, cocktail, Welsh black beef and bass mixture.
8. AUGUST – Guludo Beach, Quirimbas Peninsula, Mozambique
Perhaps Africa’s most beautiful beach – the charming Goludo Beach: beautiful white sand enveloped in the Indian Ocean and surrounded by a wild African shrub. This is the real barefoot paradise where you can dive coral reefs and watch humpback whales (june-october).
Climb up the hill and watch elephants at sunset. An unforgettable trip to the nearby Rolas Island, where you will meet the local hunter, Old Man Coconut Crab, who will take you to the Coral Rock Forest to learn about the largest cancers in the world.
Tours go to the village of Guludo where you can learn to shell cassava, weave mats, buy colorful fabric and take him to your local tailor who will make for you a new shirt or dress.
9. SEPTEMBER – Super Paradise Beach, Mykonos, Greece
International air travelers have been visiting the small city of Mykonos for 50 years and it is not difficult to see why. Featuring crumbly sand and rare clear water, Super Paradise Beach is the most unrivaled beach on an island surrounded by stunning beaches. It is located 9 km from the city.
Super Paradise – like the rest of the island – is a doctrine of fun, funky and tolerant to alternative lifestyles making it the Mecca of gay travelers. Mykonos has traditional taverns and designer boutiques and attracts world-famous DJs, making it one of the top destinations in the Med region.
10. OCTOBER – Eilat, Israel
Thanks to its eclectic mix of Bedouin hospitality, Middle Eastern cuisine and Las Vegas-style hotels, Eilat can also do well for a family vacation. The Red Sea is popular for deep sea diving, snorkeling and swimming with dolphins. Romantic guests can relax in the candle-lit spa while the young and young at heart will love the nightlife that ranges from dark discos to live band bars. Sun lovers who embrace the beach can enjoy the view of the red mountains of Petra on the horizon while commuters can go to the desert safari by truck, camel or horse and eat with the Bedouins.
11. NOVEMBER – One Foot Island, Aitutaki Lagoon, Cook Islands

12. DECEMBER – Playa Flamenco, Culebra, Puerto Rico
Culebra Island, also known as Snake Island, has been used as a haven for pirates for more than three centuries, seventeen miles east of Puerto Rico. Playa Flamenco has one of the most extreme seas in the Caribbean, one mile from white coral sand. The beauty of this 7-mile island inspires impulsive actions, like hugging trees. Coral reefs have not touched them and there are four endangered species of turtles visiting the shore. Culebra National Wildlife Refuge protects large colonies of bats and boobies.
